Though the EHS Boys Volleyball Team did not play their best, it was enough to survive a scrappy Riverside team, Monday night in the Nest. The victory puts the Eagles at 1-0 in Region Play. 

The boys will travel to Mauldin on Tuesday where both the JV team and Varsity will play. Both JV and Varsity will be back in the Nest Wednesday to host reigning 5A State Champions, the Dorman Cavaliers. 

The Boys Volleyball team competed in the 2nd annual Cavs Invitational at Dorman on Saturday. 

They went undefeated in pool play defeating Mauldin 2-1, Legacy Early College 2-0, and Boiling Springs 2-0. This earned th Eagles their first every Gold Bracket seeding in program history. In a tight match the Eagles lost in the Semi Finals to the Panthers of Carolina Forest. 

Chase Noblitt took home an All-Tounament selection while both Preston Anderson and Owen Hamric also received votes for their outstanding play. The results Saturday were a reflection of a total team effort.

This week the boys travel to Greenwood Tuesday and then host Wade Hampton on Wednesday for a shot at splitting hte Region title. With three regular season matches remaining, the playoff hunt is on!

The Boys Volleyball Team will celebrate its Seniors tonight as Greenwood comes to the Nest. This is the last regular season match for the Boys and they look to secure their seed in the playoffs. 

Game time is 7:00 with Senior Recognition during pre-game.

The 5th seeded Boys Volleyball team traveled to Midland Valley Monday night to take on the #4 seed Mustangs. 

Led by Senior Connor Usher's 10 aces on 24 serves, the Eagles swept Midland Valley in straight sets.

The Eagles move on top face #1 seed Wade Hampton Wednesday 10/25 at 6 at Wade Hampton.

The Eastside Boys Volleyball team played their 2nd round playoff game at Wade Hampton Wednesday night in front of a raucous crowd that was predominantly Eastside faithful. This marked the 3rd time this season the Eagles would face the Region 2 AAAA champs, with the last regular season match being won by the Generals by a total of 5 points. The third time would be the charm for the EHS Boys.

Wade Hampton came into the match as the Upstate's #1 seed in the SCHSL Playoffs. Eastside as the 5 seed was considered the underdog, but they came out with a lot of bite to their bark and won the first two sets. Wade recovered and took advantage of several mistakes by the Eagles to take sets 3 and 4. The Eagles, led by captains Connor Usher and Chase Noblitt did not let the moment be too big for them. They rallied the team to a 16-14 5th set victory to take the match and advance the Eagles to the Upper State Championship.

Eastside will take on the #3 seed Catawba Ridge Copperheads next Monday at 6:00 in Fort Mill, SC. The winner of that match will claim the title of Upper State Champions and move on to play in the State Championship Match on Thursday Nov. 4th.

The Region 2 AAAA Coaches awarded All-Region honors to four members of the EHS Boys Volleyball Team. 

Senior Connor Usher received this honor for the second year despite missing one region match and being limited in the others due to a back injury.

Juniors Chase Noblitt and Preston Anderson also were honored for their performance this season. 

Jonas Kelsey stood out as the top setter in the region and is the youngest All-Region player for Eastside and in the entire region. 

Congratulations to these four outstanding players.

This Saturday, September 16th, Eastside will host the first ever Foothills Fall Classic Boys Volleyball Invitational Tournament. Teams include Eastside, Wade Hampton, Dorman, Travelers Rest, Byrnes, Mauldin, St. James, Greenwood, and Easley Home School Association.

Pool play begins at 8:30 AM and Bracket play begins around 1:30 PM. Come support your Eagles.
